COLORADO RIVER SLOW WATER FLOAT 17-20 JULY
I just had an unexpected cancellation from my yearly river float. I have room for 3-4 people. You need to enjoy malted beverages. The float will be 17 July -20 July. Oh ya, you also need to have a truck to haul coolers. It is a slow water float from below Blythe to Fishers landing at Martinez Lake. This is the twelfth year I have done this. In the past, we floated with a 25 man life raft and toys. This year I built an 8’ x 20’ float barge. It has a motor and oars. You will only have to bring your favorite malted beverage, sleeping gear, a cup and silverware. I’ll bring the food and other items. There will also be the 4 person personal island, Buddy Barge, and the ever popular Budweiser float. No ski boat this year. The link to the river map is: http://www.dbw.ca.gov/Pubs/BlythetoImperial/BlythetoImperial.pdf We will be starting at the camping site around mile 8. The first 2 nights are on a sandbar and the last night is at the Pecacho camp sites. The construction of the raft is on MySpace.com, type in Bill Stemwell and you will see where I am at so far. There will be 12 people going this year. We have 5 adults and the rest are teenagers. Even though the temps will be in the 100’s, it is cool on the water. We went in Oct once and the temp was 95 and nobody wanted to go in the water. Email Bill Stemwell at bstemwell@verizon.net for more info or to let me know if this is for you. Yes, homebrew will be represented.

That sounds like fun, but I don't think I will be able to go.
Have fun.
